Privacy Policy

Last updated October 12, 2026

Plink is a social golf app. This policy explains what we collect when you use the Plink app or the Plink website, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

  • Account details: your username, email address and password (stored encrypted), or the identifier Apple or Google gives us when you sign in with them.
  • Profile: your name, home course, profile privacy setting and the accessories your ball has unlocked.
  • Rounds: scores, courses, dates, birdies and pars, descriptions and photos you post.
  • Scorecard photos: if you scan a scorecard, the image is sent to our AI provider to read the numbers. We keep the image only with the round you post.
  • Social activity: who you follow, likes and endorsements.
  • Device and usage data: app version, device type, crash reports and push notification tokens.

How we use it

To run your account, show your rounds to the people you choose, calculate leaderboards and milestones, send the notifications you turn on, keep Plink safe, and fix bugs. We do not sell your personal information and we do not show third-party ads.

Who can see your rounds

Public profiles: anyone can see your profile and latest round. Logged-in Plink users can see all of your rounds. Private profiles: only friends (people you follow who follow you back) can see your rounds. Leaderboards show your username, ball and score to your friends.

Service providers

We use Supabase to host our database and files, Vercel to host this website, Apple and Google for sign-in, Expo for push notifications, and Anthropic to read scorecard photos. They process data only to provide their service to us.

Keeping and deleting data

We keep your data while your account is open. You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We delete your rounds, photos and profile within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep something longer.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data, and object to some uses. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California) you may have more rights. Email us to make a request.

Children

Plink is not for children under 13. If you think a child under 13 has an account, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes

If we change this policy in a meaningful way we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.
